Tiger Woods moving to New York City

August 31, 2010 - Reports indicate that recently divorced golfer Tiger Woods could be relocating to Manhattan.

A witness told Us Weekly that Woods has moved into a downtown Manhattan apartment, adding that he was seen introducing himself "as the new neighbor" to area residents last weekend. The relocation could be the final chapter in the nearly 10-month long saga that has kept Woods' name in the tabloids ever since he crashed his car into a fire hydrant outside his Orlando home last November.

Last week, divorce papers between Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren were finalized. The former couple released a joint statement on their website saying that "While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us."

The report added that Nordegren will likely remain in their old Orlando-area home while also spending time in her native Sweden.

The report of Woods moving to New York conflicts with a RadarOnline report from earlier this month which suggested that he was waiting to move to a newly-constructed home in Jupiter, Florida.
