Hollywood couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt buy in LA

October 3, 2012 - Celebrity news sites report actor John Krasinski and actress Emily Blunt may be comparing prices of moving companies around Los Angeles, as they have purchased a home in the affluent city of Ojai.

Public records show the home last sold for $1.925 million in 2005 and has been on and off the market since 2010, when it appeared in real estate listings for $3.499 million. In March, it reappeared with a lower asking price of $2.494 million, however, the celeb couple will be moving boxes in after paying $2.15 million.

The five-plus acres was previously home to the Ojai Foothills Hotel, but has since been turned into a residential property. Its location is perfect for the couple who is likely seeking privacy, as it is nestled between the busyness of Los Angeles and the laid-back lifestyle of Santa Monica. The home's official listing highlights its eco-friendly upgrades, while the 4,100 square feet of living space will provide them plenty of room for a potential family.

Krasinski has recently been making real estate headlines, as he sold a much smaller home in West Hollywood for $880,000 just last summer.
