Comedian Kevin James drops millions on Florida mansion

October 2, 2012 - Funny actor Kevin James may be calling for moving services soon, as multiple real estate sources say he is the new owner of a mansion in Delray Beach, Florida.

While the home was initially listed almost a year ago for $19.95 million, he and his wife will be relocating to the Sunshine State with their three children after paying $18.5 million for the beach house. The home has likely undergone some upgrades, as it last sold for much less in 2005, when it went for $4.9 million.

The oversized beach getaway sits on just under two acres of land, and offers 25,834 square feet of living space including 10 bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and four half baths. The Mediterranean-style home has many upgraded features including stone fireplaces, multiple terraces, mahogany wood paneling, a game room and a spa.

James is likely best known for his role on The King of Queens, which ran for nine seasons, while his transition to the big screen, including Grown Ups, Zookeeper, and Here Comes the Boom may be helping pay off the mortgage of the Florida house.
