Longtime entertainer Casey Kasem selling Los Angeles mansion

September 7, 2012 - Celebrity real estate sites are buzzing that radio personality Casey Kasem and his wife Jean may be counting down days til the movers arrive, as they have listed their property in Los Angeles for sale. The Real Estalker reports the celebrity couple purchased the home back in 1989 for just $1.725 million, while it has reappeared on the market for $42 million.

The California mansion offers more than 12,000 square feet of living space including seven bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, a great set-up when hosting star-studded gatherings at the house. The house was built in 1954 and sits on 2.39 acres of land, but has undergone some major expansion, as it originally had 7,609 square feet of living space with just seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Some notable features of the home highlighted by the blog include an outdoor lounging area, a cabana, a heart-shaped swimming pool and a grouping of gazebos. While only photos of the exterior of the house have been released, the grand entrance includes a circular fountain and well-maintained landscaping.

It has yet to be reported where they will be relocating to, but the Kasems have been buying properties in Southern California, including homes in Malibu, Holmby Hills and Lancaster.
