The state was discovered by Spanish explorers in 1519, which was later under control by the British in 1763. The city was later a confederate capital, which was founded in Montgomery and later played a major rule in history for the location of numerous civil-rights protests, boycotts and marches in the 1950s and 60s. Today, those relocating to Alabama will discover an industrial area with numerous national parks, a rural landscape and various points of interest such as the Rosa Park Museum and Library, Mound State Monument and the gorgeous Gulf Coast. Capital City: Montgomery is the state capital of Alabama, which is bordered by Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi.
