Moving to North Carolina
The state of North Carolina is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and by South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. So you're interested in what North Carolina is all about-but, the response to that question can be different depending who you ask. North Carolina can be all about history. It all started with America's first gold rush bringing people in to cash in, then there were the clashes between the settlers and the Native Americas, and then the Civil Rights Movement was sparked here. Later on, the Wright brothers attempted the first flight of a place-it lasted 12 seconds on the state's Outer Banks. North Carolina can also be romantic. For anyone who has ever read a Nicholas Sparks novel, you know all about North Carolina's romantic love-inducing coastline. There are also plenty of places to have a romantic dinner or evening. In addition to the history and the romance, there's also the family fun that you can have in North Carolina. Experience it yourself and find your own way to describe NC.

Capital City: The state's capital is Raleigh, one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.-just one of the cities pushing the North Carolina moving companies industry. People come to Raleigh because it is driven by great people. In Downtown Raleigh is the historic section of the city where buildings such as the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel and the Fayetteville business district can be found. In Midtown Raleigh, you can find more residential and commercial sectors just before Upper Raleigh's area of commerce including the Crabtree Valley Mall.

Population: There are approximately 9,380,884 people in the state of North Carolina.

Local Activities: There is plenty to do in the great state of North Carolina including visiting amusement parks, wineries, beaches and sport venues. But, it would be enlightening to check out all the fuss surrounded motorsports in the state-more than 80 percent of NASCAR racing teams. Also, big in North Carolina are the state's NFL team the Carolina Panthers and the NBA team, the Charlotte Bobcats.

Economy: In North Carolina, agricultural outputs of poultry, eggs, tobacco, hogs, milk, cattle and the state vegetable-sweet potatoes-are doing well. The manufacturing sector in North Carolina-a national trend-has been affected by jobs lost to outsourcing to places like China or other places overseas. North Carolina's big cities such as Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro still see loads of people moving to North Carolina and economic growth, but the small towns are suffering from the opposite effect.

State Bird: The state bird is the cardinal.

State Tree: The longleaf pine is the state tree.

State Flower: The flowering dogwood is the state flower.

State Song: The state song is "Esse Quam Videri," which translates as “To Be Rather Than to Seem.”
